First Home Buyers
Grants, schemes, and the loan structure to get you in the door without giving up your weekends.
An Australian mortgage brokerage, written by a person. One broker, one phone number, one portal where you can see exactly where your application stands — from the first conversation to the day you get the keys.
“I started fin2.0 because getting a home loan shouldn’t feel like guesswork. My job is to make sure you always know where you stand — and where you’re going.”
Thu Nguyen · from the fin2.0 founding note
Four commitments I make to every client. Written down, not implied — and easy for you to hold me to.
No chasing, no “I’ll get back to you on Friday”. Every milestone shows up in your client portal the moment it happens — and if anything slips, you’ll hear from me before you have to ask.
This is the bit most brokers skip. I built the portal so I’d never have to.
We work as a small team, which means no call centres, no ticket numbers, and no wondering who’s responsible for your file. You’ll always know who to contact and where your application stands.
Behind the scenes, Thu and Garry work together to keep everything moving smoothly.
For most standard home loans, my service is free — the lender pays a commission. For anything more complex, I’ll quote the fee in writing before we start. No surprises on the invoice, ever.
Messages get answered the same business day, by me — not a chatbot, not an auto-reply. If your situation is genuinely urgent, tell me, and I’ll make time.
Average response time right now: under four hours.
In writing, with my name on it. — Thu
I was tired of clients calling me to ask “where are we up to?” So I built a private dashboard where every milestone, document, and message lives in one place — updated by me, visible to you, the moment something happens.
I built it because I was tired of the alternative.
Application submitted to lender. Currently under review.
Five things I do, and do well. If yours isn’t listed, ask anyway — I probably do it, or I know someone who does.
Grants, schemes, and the loan structure to get you in the door without giving up your weekends.
A second look at your current loan — better rate, better features, or equity out for what comes next.
Structured debt that fits how you actually invest, with lenders that understand portfolio strategy.
Progressively drawn loans matched to your build stages, from the slab to the lockup.
Low-doc and alt-doc solutions for business owners, contractors, and anyone with non-traditional income.
A small selection of recent loans I’ve arranged — first homes, heritage cottages, architect builds, investments. Different shapes, different strategies, the same careful work.
Paperwork signed, keys collected, and another family officially in their new home. This is the part of the job I never get tired of — and the reason I keep doing it.
Four chapters, in order. The first conversation takes thirty minutes. The rest follows.
We sit down — in person, by phone, or by video — and talk through your goals, your finances, and your timeline. No pressure, no script, no “pre-approval form” before you’ve had a chance to ask a question. I leave that call knowing you, and you leave knowing whether I’m the right broker for you.
This first conversation is the most important one. I’d rather lose a client here than win one on a misunderstanding.
I prepare your application for the lender most likely to say yes — and most likely to say yes on the best terms. You sign, I submit, every document lives in your portal from that moment on.
The lender assesses, the valuer visits, the underwriter asks follow-up questions. I handle the back-and-forth. You watch it move — in your portal, in real time — and message me whenever something’s unclear.
Formal approval, final review of every term, and the settlement day itself. After that, you get the keys — and I’m still here whenever a question comes up. Most of my new clients are past clients, and that’s not by accident.
Real experiences, sent in their own words. I haven’t edited them — only chosen them.
“Thu made the whole process feel calm. She explained every option honestly, and the portal updates meant I never had to chase anyone for a status. I’d recommend her to any first home buyer.”
“I’ve refinanced three times, and fin2.0 was the smoothest by a long way. Communication was fast, the strategy was clearly explained, and settlement came in ahead of schedule.”
“What stood out was the honesty. Every cost, rate, and timeline was laid out clearly. No jargon, no upselling, no surprises. Exactly what a stressful process needs.”
The six questions I hear most often, in the order I hear them.
Thirty minutes, by phone or in person. You tell me where you are, I tell you what I can do — and we decide together whether working together makes sense.
